Humbia at Latitude59

Humbia

We got to demo Humbia at Latitude59 2026 last week. Here's how that happened.

What's Latitude59?

Latitude59 is the biggest startup conference in the Baltics and Nordics, held every May in Tallinn. This year was the 14th edition of the event. Over 3,500 founders, investors, and engineers from more than 70 countries showed up to the event.

Builders Lab

This year, Latitude59 had a new stage called Builders Lab. The stage focused on actually showing the products being built, not just pitching them. Ten teams were selected to demo what they've been working on to potential investors, founders, and mentors from companies like Google, Wise, Lightyear, Norrsken, and AWS.

We were one of the ten!

The last minute invite

We got the late invite to the conference a day before the materials for the presentation had to be submitted. Humbia is only three weeks old, so we had no real deck, nor a demo prepared.

So what did we do? We said yes, and figured everything else out later.

What we showed

In the first three weeks, we had been building a simple first feature of Humbia: an interactive map of land ownership across Estonia.

The demo showed thousands of parcels, color-coded by owner. You could click on a company and instantly see the land connected to it, or click on a parcel and see who owns it.

We want to understand who owns what, and through which entities. This is the first step toward Humbia’s long-term vision of automating land acquisition.

That is what we demoed on stage.

The response

The response completely exceeded our expectations. Investors approached us after the demo, we made new connections with real estate developers, and people even joined our waitlist while we were still talking on the stage.

It was surprising to see how supportive everyone was. Be it the other teams presenting, or strangers offering to mentor us or connect us with potential clients. We are still in the early days of Humbia, but it seems that people are already excited about the vision.

This kind of response only motivates us, so for now, back to building!
